Redeemer Events
Jan 25th, 2006
As the winter winds blow, please be reminded of a few Redeemer family matters:
We have begun a new Sunday school class at 9:30, Principles of Biblical Interpretation. How do you know you’re reading the Bible in a most accurate fashion? Come learn with us! Meets in the worship space, taught by Pastor Mike.
We have our hymn sing this Sunday at 6 pm.
We have numerous events for women starting and on-going.
We have a mid-week Bible study for women on Wednesday mornings and for anyone else on Tuesday evenings at the church office. We’re studying James.
RUG now meets on a new night. Beginning next Wednesday, Feb.1, we will meet on Wednesdays at 7:30, same place. Look for maps to Emily’s apt. in the foyer at church.
We are delighted to have students back and many new visitors. Please park behind the gym, and on the backside of the JRDS property, if it is at all possible for you. We want no one turned away for lack of parking! You can also use the road up the hill directly across the street from the JRDS.
There is a marriage conference (not PCA sponsored) in Roanoke at the Doubletree (formerly Hotel Roanoke) on March 3-5, sponsored by FamilyLife.com. It’s highly recommended by some of our members. Go to their web page for details.
This Sunday we will have the privilege of meeting the team from Liberty which went to India recently, and their sharing in the worship service. It was a special joy for me to be included with the team. Both the leaders (our own Matt Rawlins and Jay Parks) and team members represented Christ and the USA in an exceptional way.
We are still desperately in need of volunteers to help with the sound system set-up and take down. Contact me if you can serve this critical ministry.
Let’s all keep asking the Lord for opportunities to share the good news, and to invite others to worship with us.
May God’s grace cover us,
Mike Sharrett
