What Is Wisdom Producing?
“The wise will inherit honor, but fools display dishonor.”
Prov.3:35
What does a person who has assimilated wisdom’s values look like? There are core values that pulsate through your heart if wisdom has impacted you, showing up in your heart, head and hands.
In the Heart:
1. Absolutes
All values come from God.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the holy one is understanding.” (Proverbs 9:10)
2. Motives
All activity is to be done for God’s glory.
“Every man’s way is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the hearts.” (Proverbs 21:2)
3. Dependence
All of life is dependent upon God.
“Turn to my reproof. Behold, I pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.” (Proverbs 1:23)
4. Praise
We were created to worship God.
“Nothing you desire compares with me.” (Prov.3:15, 8:11)
“One generation shall praise Thy works to another, and shall declare Thy mighty acts”. (Ps.145:4)
In the Head:
5. Inquiry
We are called to think God’s thoughts.
“Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding…the beginning of wisdom is, acquire wisdom; and with all your acquiring, get understanding.” (Prov.4:5-8)
6. Conviction
We are sinners in need of a savior
“Who can say, ‘I have cleansed my heart, I am pure from sin?’” (Prov.20:9)
“Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.” (Prov.12:1)
7. Humility
All of our worth is borrowed from God.
“When pride comes, then comes dishonor, but with the humble is wisdom.” (Proverbs 11:2)
In the hands:
8. Stewardship
All possessions come from God
“Honor the Lord from your wealth, from the first of all your produce.” (Proverbs 3:9)
9. Fruitfulness
We are to produce for God.
“He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, but he who pursues vain things lacks sense.”
“The wicked desires the booty of the evil men, but the root of the righteous yields fruit.”
“A slothful man does not roast his prey, but the precious possession of a man is diligence.” (Prov.12:11,12, 27)

10. Grace
God loves us in spite of our performance.
“Though He scoffs at the scoffers, yet He gives grace to the afflicted.” (Prov.3:34)
