It’s time to mark your calendars! In less than 6 months the weather will be warm and your kids will be hating the fact that they have had to go back to school. Do you want to know how you can be a hero to your kids? Pull them out of school on the last Friday of August, pack them up and come to Young Life’s Rockbridge Alum Springs Camp in beautiful Rockbridge County for them to have the best weekend of their lives! And what’s really cool is that you will too!
The weekend will run pretty much the same this year as it did last year. Registration will start at 10 AM Friday morning and the camp will close 3PM Sunday afternoon. Last year the camp was run in very much the same way and everyone agreed that it was a huge success. Here are some of the details:
The camp is August 27-29.
The cost of the weekend this year is:
Adults $125
Children 3-11 $80
Children 2 and under FREE
What does this include?
Three excellent “all you can eat” meals a day (far better than you would ever expect)
A comfortable bed in dorms with hardwood floors, adjacent bathroom, and lounge area (not that you would ever stay inside!)
Babysitting in the evenings for the younger kids.
Outdoor activities that rival most amusement parks, including:
Scream swing, zip line, blob tower, ropes course, hot tub, swimming pool, basketball courts, sand volleyball courts, soccer fields, disc golf course, etc., etc., etc.
Young Life style entertainment that will leave you sore from laughter.
Let’s face it, you couldn’t spend a weekend at Busch Gardens, Kings Dominion, or Water Country for this kind of money!
Registration will require a $25 non-refundable deposit for each person attending to save your family’s spot.
