-Intro to Redeemer-
If you are in the Intro to Redeemer class please remember that this Sunday is the last class. Please plan to attend even if you have not made it to all of the classes. You can make up missed classes on-line. We will discuss the next step in the membership process, so again please plan to attend.
-The Baggetts-
Yesterday’s preview service was a success in that we had about 40 adults and 12 children in attendance. There were some minor logistical mistakes, that should be expected for a first service and also a few areas that truly need improving were exposed. The sermon was short and sweet and seemed to have an impact. I was exhausted afterward but doing pretty well right now. I truly and deeply want to thank all of you who prayed and sent notes of encouragement! (Lord willing, you will have more opportunity to do so in the coming months.)
Hope you had a great Easter,
Dave
-The Parks-
We will have a church wide yard sale to raise money to help the Parks get to North Africa. The date will be April 24 at 6:00 am at the Bon Ton house. Please bring your things to sell to benefit the Parks. The church office will be available the Mon the 19th to bring donations.
-Women of Redeemer-
Our Next Women’s Fellowship is Monday, April 19th at 7:30. It will be at Sue Cary’s house, 3701 Manton Drive, we hope to see you there! Please contact Sue at sac6@verizon or 384-0495 if you have any questions.
-St. Barnabas property-
Please keep the Conditional Use Permit application for the St. Barnabas property to the City of Lynchburg in your prayers. Also if possible, please plan to attend the City Planning Commission meeting at City Hall at 4 pm on Wednesday, April 14, so that Redeemer people can be counted before the Commission votes on our application!
-Youth Ministry-
You may know that Eric and Megan Houppert are transitioning to the mission field this summer, and thus we are needing to find someone to take the ministry reigns from them. The Lord has given us a wonderful candidate in Bryan (Kate) Rigg. They graduated from LU and were Redeemer members and volunteered with the youth a few years ago. The session has interviewed them and is very excited about the prospect of their serving again among us.
Please plan to participate in the following activities, designed foryou to get to know them better so you can give us feedback:
April 24-25:
Saturday 6:30-8:30pm informal dessert at the Head’s; parents and youth attend
Sunday 10am Bryan lead my adult SS class: devotional, testimony/calling, cast vision, Q&A
Sunday 3:00-4:30pm informal gathering with leadership and wives at Sharretts.
Sunday 6:30-8pm Youth meeting Bryan teach
