Greetings Redeemer!
A Schedule Reminder
This week we again gather for worship at 11am only (no 8:30 or Sunday school gatherings), with nursery but no children’s church.
Mimosa Renovation Update:
In the building, electrical service entrance equipment and panels are in and were inspected by the city on 12/29. AEP should be turning the power on to the building on 12/30 for limited use, which will allow heat to be turned on and certain floor coverings to go down.
Final plumbing and electrical work are progressing. The Audio/Visual contractor has ordered equipment and should start installation in the next week or two.
Site work has been at almost at a standstill for the past two weeks due the snow and extreme cold (too cold to pour concrete and soil is frozen). The weather forecast looks good for the immediate future to resume site work but we need you to pray for God’s blessing over the remaining time and work to be done (even the contractors are acknowledging this will take an act of God as we push into winter).
Our target date for first worship at Mimosa is now February 13.
New Building Discussion
We will have a special adult SS class on January 9 in the gym to start a conversation together about our move to the new building, and what it will look like to make a splash in the area, and to be intentional about inviting and welcoming new folks.
Please pray and think about issues such as:
-how do we want to contact our new neighbors?
-are there events you think we need to have?
-are there issues we need to be aware of as we welcome new faces?
-do you want to help coordinate regular visitor receptions?
-are there specific bridges we can create to make the way into Redeemer more accessible?
Pioneers
Will be resuming January 16th at regular time, regular place. However, the New Year brings with it some new needs! We are currently in need of volunteers who are able and willing to perform various responsibilities including teaching, helping, and even some oversight of the pioneers programs on a weekly basis. If you are interested or would like to find out more information please contact Sabrena Deal at scdeal@liberty.edu.
The Redeemer Youth Group is looking for donations to furnish our youth room in the new church building. If you have a couch, love seat, recliner, chair, bean bag seat, or any other furniture that you would like to part with please let us know. We will come to you and pick up your furniture. If you are interested or have any questions please contact Bryan Rigg at bryan@redeemerlynchburg.org.

An update from RUF
Happy New Year, everyone!
Check out our newsletter for the latest update on Redeemer’s citywide college ministry, RUF (Reformed University Fellowship).
As 2010 comes to a close, we’re raising funding for the upcoming year. A gift now helps free us to focus more on
ministry and not fundraising during the semester. Would you consider making a tax deductible year end gift of any size (above and beyond your tithe) to RUF? Here are two ways to give:
1. Mail a check to RUF, 1700 North Brown Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30043. Write: “Marc Corbett – Lynchburg” in the memo line. OR
2. Give with a credit/ debit card at www.ruf.org/donate – select “RUF Lynchburg” under school or “Corbett, Marc” under staff. On the website, you’ll have the option to sign up for automatic monthly giving (a big need!) if you wish to do so!
3. THANKS!!! Your prayers and support make RUF Lynchburg possible!
COLLEGE STUDENTS… we’re looking forward to starting up again on Jan. 20th! Find out all the details at www.lynchburg.ruf.org
RUF is a rest stop for tired Christians and a safe place for skeptics to consider the good news of Jesus.
Grace and peace!
