Pastor, Teaching Elder
Tre joined the Redeemer staff in July, 2008, after spending four years planting a PCA church in Danville, VA. Tre met his wife, April, at Mercer University in Macon, GA, and they were married in 1987. Tre then spent several years in social work before moving to Orlando to attend Reformed Theological Seminary in 1991. After graduating in 1994, Tre served as an associate pastor in Fredericksburg, VA, for seven years, as a senior pastor in Waynesboro, GA, for three years, and most recently as a solo church planter in Danville, VA. Tre and April have four children. Bradley (25), and Whitney (24), both live and work locally in Lynchburg. Timothy (19), is a sophomore at Roanoke College and Jacob (17), is a senior at E.C.Glass high school. April teaches yoga in downtown Lynchburg and enjoys outdoor photography. Tre is an avid outdoorsman and motorcycle rider.
Assistant Pastor, Teaching Elder
Matthew joined the Redeemer staff in August, 2017. Matthew and his wife Sara met at Liberty University where they both studied, and were married in June 2006. Matthew studied at Liberty University for both undergraduate education in biblical studies, and for seminary completing the MDiv program. After Matthew graduated seminary in 2012, he came under care of the session at Redeemer, and has served as both a deacon and ruling elder. Matthew and Sara have three children, Caleb (5), Abigail (1), and Josiah (6m). Sara is a stay-at-home Mom and home school teacher, enjoys painting and using her creative talents on projects. Matthew enjoys sports, working out, being outdoors, and riding his motorcycle.
Greg joined the Redeemer staff in 2010. Born and raised in Waterford Michigan, Greg married Wendy, his high school sweetheart, in 1988. Greg and Wendy have two sons, Taylor (22) and Keane (19) and both currently attend Liberty University. In 1987 Greg graduated from Liberty University with a BA in Christian Thought Biblical Studies and finished his Master of Religion in 2004. Wendy also graduated from Liberty University with a BS in Mathematics and has a Masters in Education. Wendy is a math teacher at Heritage High School and before coming on staff, Greg taught private music lessons for 15 years. Wendy enjoys the outdoors, tennis and scrapbooking; Greg loves to read and enjoys sports of all kinds.
Director of Student Ministries
Justin Dixon became the Director of Student Ministries in 2016, excited to lead the students at Redeemer as they grow closer to God. It was in Hampton, VA that Justin was born and raised and met his wife, Samantha. Justin and Samantha both graduated from Liberty University, said their vows two weeks later, and decided to stay in Lynchburg. Justin graduated with a B.A. in Biblical Studies with a minor in Greek, Biblical Languages, and Psychology and is currently working on his Master’s in Professional Counseling. Samantha graduated with a B.S. in Nursing and now works as an R.N. at Lynchburg General. The Dixon’s enjoy hiking, exploring new cities, and reading in local coffee shops, occasionally roasting their own coffee at home. Justin has a passion for ministering to the youth at Redeemer and hopes to continually encourage them to think deeper, love stronger, and worship in Truth.
